Justin’s current practice includes Venture Capital, General Counsel (focus on Fashion & Lifestyle), M&A (focus on governance matters and fiduciary duties).

Justin R. Pollak is an associate at HBA with broad transactional experience counseling clients in commercial, corporate and real estate matters. His practice focuses on corporate transactions as well as acting as “outside general counsel” to clients in a wide range of industries, including sports, fashion, lifestyle and technology. Additionally, he specializes in advising corporations and alternative entities on governance matters and fiduciary duties.

Prior to joining HBA, Justin was an attorney with Berger Harris, LLP, in Wilmington, Delaware, where his practice emphasized corporate governance and rendering legal opinions. He started his legal career as an associate in the Business Transactions group of the New York office of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, where he focused on public and private mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation and PIPE transactions. While at SRZ, Justin represented DynCorp International Inc., a publicly-traded global government services provider, in its merger with affiliates of Cerberus Capital Management LP. He also represented Chrysler LLC in its sale of assets to a group led by Fiat, S.p.A., a transaction that received the M&A Atlas Deal of the Year award. Justin has written and contributed to multiple articles related to current trends in mergers and acquisitions in Practical Law: The Journal.

Justin’s personal interests include spending time with his wife and two daughters, watching New York sports and finding the best burger in NYC.
